Sydney solo artist ANT ENOCH writes anthems for crying on the dance floor. His melodic bedroom pop marries his love for melancholic 1980s dance ballads with contemporary analogue aesthetics.

For ENOCH, the DIY spirit has been there from day one. “I inherited an old upright piano and taught myself to play. Still with no formal clue on how to play it, it’s my favorite instrument to write on.” These early songwriting experiments led him to study music at university in Sydney and spend most of his degree in Toronto, Canada, playing at tiny clubs along Queen Street West and Southern Ontario.

Fevering from isolation during the pandemic, his self-produced debut EP ‘Big Talk Big Party’ arrived like a tonic laced with vintage Japanese drum machines, deeply personal lyrics, and an ambience of piano, synthesizers, and violin. The record was self-produced in a Bankstown mattress factory and finished in Berlin through the European autumn with Grammy-award-winning producer-engineer Julia Borelli (RÜFÜS DU SOL, Hayden James, Monolink) and a tight-knit community of female and non-binary collaborators and friends.

Now chasing summers between Berlin and Bankstown, ENOCH took to the stage this September for his debut headline shows in Berlin and Munich, performing ‘Television’ for the first time and previewing his unreleased music to an enthralled international audience.

Following his Radio Eins live set at Bikini Berlin and Atwood Magazine’s 25 Best EPs of 2024, ENOCH kicks off 2025 by revisiting one of the record’s highlights—the contemplative, guitar-led bedroom pop finale ‘Big Party’—handing it over to Bali-based producer narou for a chill house makeover reminiscent of the latest tracks by Astrality and Paul Schulze.
